High
Performance Field Mutiplexer
Model
PTS-9MX

|
The PTS-9MX field multiplexer allows for a cost effective means to
multiplex a number of incoming signals into one outgoing signal for
transmission. This allows for the reduction of the number of dedicated
repeater stations required to transmit data to a central location.
The unit can be ordered in a 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 channel configurations.
The standard configuration includes a passive attenuator for each
channel allowing the user to easily adjust the incoming signal amplitude
for each channel to attain equalization prior to the multiplexing
operation.
To further enhance incoming signal conditioning, a variety of optional
filters or line amplifiers modules can be used on any or all channels.
Each channels standard or optional signal-conditioning module utilize
gold plated connections for field reliable long-term noise free connections.
The PTS-9MX is very low power, easy to use, and easy to field repair
or upgrade. The rugged and well-shielded enclosure makes it perfectly
suitable for portable and rapid deployment applications in addition
to permanent monitoring. The unit is conservatively designed and includes
ample transient suppression. Power output jacks allow radio receivers
to be directly connected to the multiplexer.
The multiplexed output can also be directly connected into the PTS-3BG
field telemetry station. Other system components include lightning
suppression systems (Model LPS-x), external signal band pass, high
pass, or low pass filters (Model TC-70x), and line amplifier (Model
TC-80x), and central site digitizing and recording systems (Model
DAS-6102PC), and analysis software.
